Description

This book is a collection of memoires about the Ukrainian villages and towns in the Boiko, Lemko, San River, Podlasie and Chelm regions in Poland that were destroyed in the spring and summer of 1947 by the Polish Army, which, beginning on April 28, 1947, carried out the relocation operation that was approved by Polish leaders under the codename “Akcja Wisla” (Operation Vistula). The intention of the author is to provide a complete picture of this tragedy on these territories. There are 77 memoires, which describe Operation Vistula in 47 locations.
